Grow With Hope is a community interest company aiming to empower young people to understand and take care of their mental health on a day-to day basis and prevent or reduce suffering in the future. This supports students to excel academically, achieve their full potential in life and most importantly be able to enjoy life without poor mental health or distress.

We are deeply committed to a trauma-informed approach, which lies at the core of our services. This reflects our understanding of the profound impact trauma can have on the mental health and wellbeing of young people. Our team is dedicated to creating a safer and compassionate world that recognises the impact of trauma and supports young individuals to heal and thrive. By integrating trauma-informed principles into our practice, we ensure that all our services and resources are rooted in empathy, understanding, and respect, empowering young people to overcome challenges and build a brighter future.

We're currently facing an epidemic of poor mental health and distress with more young people struggling and struggling at younger ages. 1 in 6 children aged 5 to 16 were identified as having a probable mental health problem in July 2021, a huge increase from 1 in 9 in 2017 (NHS Digital, 2021) - that’s 5 children in every classroom. As more and more young people struggle with their mental health, their behaviour, attendance, and ability to learn is only going to continue to deteriorate. Mental health education has been shown to improve the mental health of pupils and in turn lead to a better school performance (Public Health England, 2014).

Waiting lists are at an all time high for Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and so young people are not getting the help when they are struggling and end up reaching crisis. This is why we are so passionate about prevention - we don't want young people to even get to the point where they need this support and end up on long waiting lists. Our services will help ALL young people to know how to take care of their mental health, whether it is currently good or bad, in the hope this prevents them going on to struggle and so they know what to do if their mental health does start to deteriorate.

No young person should have to feel suicide is the answer.
